HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The annual honor and remembrance ceremony hosted by the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services has been rescheduled to Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. from Sunday due to the weather.

The event recognizes fallen career and volunteer fire and rescue service members in a special ceremony held at the Garden of Valor - Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

The ceremony includes reading the names of fallen heroes, remarks from elected and appointed officials, and a ceremonial wreath laying with choral performance. The community is welcome to attend alongside current, former and auxiliary fire and rescue personnel and their families.
The Garden of Valor is located at 2150 Mount View Road, Marriottsville.
