Howard County to Host Virtual 50+ Employment Expo on Thursday, May 7, 2026

Howard County, MD — On May 7, 2026, local jobseekers and employers will come together for the Howard County Virtual 50+ Employment Expo, a free event designed to connect experienced professionals with organizations seeking skilled talent.

Participants can join the employment expo from home via Zoom. During the event, employers and jobseekers interact in real time, connecting and chatting directly through the platform.

The employment expo focuses on individuals aged 50 and over, highlighting the value of experience, reliability, and expertise in today’s workforce. Employers can meet qualified candidates via the chat, while jobseekers can explore new career paths and engage directly with hiring organizations.

“Workers age 50 and over bring tremendous value to today’s workforce through their experience, reliability, adaptability, and strong work ethic,” said Ofelia Ross Ott, Administrator, Howard County Office on Aging and Independence. “They offer institutional knowledge, mentorship, problem-solving skills, and a depth of perspective that strengthens organizations and communities alike. This expo is about recognizing that talent, connecting experienced professionals with meaningful opportunities, and helping employers tap into a skilled and often underutilized workforce.”
