Howard County Public School System Announces 2017 Graduation Dates

The commencement schedule has been announced, with graduation to take place at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Two months from now, students in Howard County will start walking across the stage to the next phase of their education and development, with diplomas in hand.

The first graduation ceremony for the class of 2017 in the Howard County Public School System is slated for May 22, school officials recently announced.

All of the commencement exercises will be at Merriweather Post Pavilion, except for Cedar Lane.

Monday, May 22

  • 8 a.m. – River Hill High School
  • 11 a.m. – Atholton High School
  • 2 p.m. – Wilde Lake High School
  • 5 p.m. – Mt. Hebron High School
  • 8 p.m. – Centennial High School

Tuesday, May 23

  • 8 a.m. – Howard High School

Friday, May 26

  • 10 a.m. – Cedar Lane (this one will be at the school)

Tuesday, May 30

  • 11 a.m. – Hammond High School
  • 2 p.m. – Reservoir High School
  • 5 p.m. – Long Reach High School

Thursday, June 1

  • 8 a.m. – Oakland Mills High School
  • 11 a.m. – Marriotts Ridge High School
  • 2 p.m. – Glenelg High School

Commencement will take place at Merriweather Post Pavilion, 10475 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia.

All ceremonies will be streamed live online, visible on the school system's homepage or on HCPSS TV.
