Human Remains Found In Columbia: Police
Skeletal remains found in a wooded area of Columbia were those of a human, Howard County police said.

COLUMBIA, MD -- Police said that a landscaper found human remains in Columbia this week. The remains are going to be evaluated by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, officials said Saturday.
At 3:14 p.m. on Friday, a landscaping worker in the 12200 block of Green Meadow Drive discovered skeletal remains in a wooded area, police said.
As of Saturday evening. officials reported the remains were confirmed as human.

The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to get further information. The identity of the deceased and how long the remains have been in the area are unknown, police said Saturday; the investigation continues.
