Indecent Exposure on Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia: Police

The Howard County Police Department said the man suspected of exposing himself was in a vehicle.

An indecent exposure was reported recently near Town Center in Columbia, according to the Howard County Police Department.

At 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, two women were walking in the 10600 block of Little Patuxent Parkway when a man tried to engage them in conversation, police said.

They were in a parking lot, according to Mary Phelan of the police department.

When the pedestrians approached the vehicle, they saw the man exposing himself, according to police. Officials did not know what type of vehicle the suspect was driving, Phelan reported.

“As a general safety measure, police recommend not approaching unknown vehicles,” Phelan said.

“If something unusual or suspicious occurs, police encourage citizens to try to obtain a tag number and vehicle description,” she continued, “and to try to visually follow the vehicle so as to provide information to police on its direction of travel.”
