HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The suspect wanted in connection to a June 2 shooting at the Cedar Motel in Jessup has been arrested.

The Howard County Police Department shared Thursday that Demitri Duhart, 32, was arrested Wednesday. Detectives believe that Duhart shot Quantonio Dunscomb, 43, of Annapolis, before taking off. Police said he was considered armed and dangerous.

Dunscomb originally was listed in critical condition at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, then upgraded to fair condition. The hotel is located in the 8000 block of Washington Boulevard. Police do not believe the shooting was random, according to the department.
