Whether you want to take the kids out on the cheap or be sure to stay away on these nights -- here's a list of local eateries and the days that they offer their ever-popular "Kids Eat Free" options.

For those of us that enjoy dining out with our children, these restaurants have found a way to earn our business and make enjoying a meal out more enjoyable on the wallet as well. 

The following list was compiled with help from my friends Susan and Jenn, who know about these things! It’s by no means all-inclusive, so if you know of any more local restaurants with a similar promotion, post it in the comments section below.

Most specify that the deal is for every adult entrée purchased you get a free kid’s meal after 4 p.m. but call to confirm:
