Lane Closures Implemented During Sidewalk Extension Project In Columbia

Drivers and pedestrians should be aware of lane closures along Snowden River Parkway for a sidewalk extension project in Columbia.

COLUMBIA, MD — Crews are installing a stretch of sidewalk along Snowden River Parkway between MD 108 and Tamar Drive that should wrap up mid-November, but temporary lane closures will be needed for the duration of the project.

Officials say the project will bolster neighborhood connectivity and heighten accessibility to Long Reach High School by closing a gap in the sidewalk network between MD 108 and Tamar Drive.

Temporary lane closures of the right southbound lane along Snowden River Parkway should be anticipated by drivers and pedestrians during the project's construction hours, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
