Lane Closures Planned For Laurel Project Starting Monday

Drivers should make note of impending lane closures needed for a project in Laurel starting Monday.

LAUREL, MD — Drivers should make note of impending temporary lane closures that will be in effect starting Monday.

The project calls for relocating and upsizing approximately 1,500 feet of an existing eight-inch cast iron water pipe with a 12-inch PVC pipe along U.S. 1 from 10092 Washington Boulevard to North Laurel Road in North Laurel.

Signs will be posted to alert drivers and residents of the construction project and flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic through the work zone, since temporary right lane closures along southbound U.S. 1 will be needed in the project area, as well as along west North Laurel Road from the intersection to Linville Avenue.
