Laura Sitler named Columbia Association's Chief Marketing Officer
Sitler comes to Columbia Association with a depth and breadth of experience.

Columbia Association (CA) is pleased to welcome Laura A. Sitler as CA’s new Chief Marketing Officer, leading the Communications and Marketing Department and serving as a member of the executive leadership team.
“Columbia Association has such a strong family culture, focus on its mission, and history of excellence. Their values strongly align with mine,” said Sitler. “I hope to help advance CA’s strategic goals, particularly with marketing and both internal and external communications. I look forward to working with the talented team members who have made CA such an inspiring organization — one committed to serving its community members.”
Sitler comes to Columbia Association with a depth and breadth of experience. She received her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and has a master’s degree in business administration, receiving both degrees from the University of Michigan. Most recently, Sitler has been working as Executive Director of Marketing for Walden University, the flagship online university of Laureate Education in Baltimore. She led a team of marketing professionals in the development and implementation of strategies to increase brand awareness and reputation, launch new degree programs and drive new student enrollment growth.

Her career history also includes work in strategy and marketing at Aramark Corporation and five years at Johnson & Johnson in brand management, where she held profit-and-loss responsibility for women’s health brands and launched new product innovations.
“Communications and marketing are such fundamental functions of Columbia Association — whether it involves outreach to our residents and members, spreading the word about a new program or service, or communicating directly with our staff,” said CA President/CEO Milton W. Matthews. “Laura’s very extensive and broad background in marketing and communications will further strengthen our ability to inform the public and our team members about the special role that CA serves in the Columbia community and beyond.”

Sitler lives in Anne Arundel County with her husband and two children. A consummate fan of the Michigan Wolverines, she enjoys college football, baking, running, and time with her family on the water.
