Long Reach Sleepover, Auto Shop Burglary: Columbia Crime
Prowlers caught fiddling with doors, skylight pried open and other crimes in Columbia reported to Howard County Police Department.

The Howard County Police Department provided the following information.
Two people tried to burglarize a residence in the 10300 block of Hickory Ridge Road. At 2:03 p.m., a resident heard people tampering with the door and upon opening it, saw two men run away. Nothing was taken.
A skylight was pried open in the 9300 block of Farewell Road. The incident was reported at 11:51 a.m. on Sunday, June 19. Nothing was reported stolen, and it was not clear whether anyone got inside.

Four men between 17 and 20 years old were found sleeping in the football press box at Long Reach High School on Saturday, June 18. A witness discovered the group at 12:23 p.m., and they left. Nothing was stolen from the press box at the school, located in the 6100 block of Old Dobbin Lane.
A man tried to get into an apartment in the 8400 block of Greystone Lane by pulling on the door. The suspect did not succeed in the burglary attempt, which was reported at 12:13 p.m. on Saturday, June 18.

Money was stolen from TNT Auto Repair in the 6400 block of Dobbin Center Way on Saturday, June 18. At 7:55 a.m., someone got into the business through a roll-up door and forced a cash register to open. The suspect left with cash.
A 19-year-old from Cricket Pass in Columbia was charged with attempted fourth-degree burglary after he tried to get into a home in the 5200 block of Open Window. When confronted, he ran away. The attempted burglary was reported at 12:33 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, and responding officers arrested the suspect. In addition to attempted burglary, the man was charged with being intoxicated and endangering the safety of another person or property.
