The Longest Table Welcomes All on September 21
There's a seat at our table for everyone! Table talk encouraged!

Ellicott City, MD – Howard County Library System (HCLS) will bring a range of different community voices and perspectives together in conversation as it hosts The Longest Table on Saturday, September 21 from 5 to 8 pm at Howard Community College, 10901 Little Patuxent Parkway in Columbia, Maryland.Now in its third year, the unique community gathering offers an opportunity for Howard County residents to meet new people and talk about topics of importance from both an individual and a community perspective. Attendees will experience a fun, uplifting, communal environment that includes a pre-meal social hour featuring Sobar beverages, music, games and a pop-up library beginning at 5 pm. Dinner will be served family style at 6 pm.
The Columbia Art Center will bring an exciting new interactive art element to this year’s experience. Local artist Fidel Carey-Realmo will work with attendees to collaboratively interpret the theme “Together We Soar!”
Fidel is a self-proclaimed visionary artist based out of Baltimore, Maryland. On his website he states, “I am here to spread light, speak my truth, inspire, encourage and be a force for the positive evolution of the human soul!”

The Longest Table is made possible through funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Friends & Foundation of HCLS, and Howard Hughes Corporation, with in-kind sponsorships from Columbia Association, Howard Community College and Roving Radish
