Mall In Columbia Thanksgiving, Black Friday 2018 Hours

COLUMBIA, MD — The season’s biggest shopping holiday is technically supposed to be the Friday after Thanksgiving, but some deal hunters can actually begin their quest on Turkey Day. Shoppers in Columbia can head to the mall, which will be open from 6 p.m. to midnight on Thursday, Nov. 22.

Specific store hours may vary, and among those staying open longer for the holiday is JC Penney, which offers some of the best deals in the country, according to a recent survey WalletHub study.

WalletHub says the average discount this year is 65 percent at JC Penney, compared with average savings of 30 percent at Walmart, 29 percent on Amazon and 29 percent at Best Buy.

JC Penney will be open from 2 p.m. to midnight on Thanksgiving and midnight to 10 p.m. on Black Friday.

At JC Penney, you could score 50 percent off Barbie, Nerf and Disney toys and up to 80 percent off fine jewelry such as earrings and rings. Get to the store first on Thursday and you may receive a coupon worth up to $500.

In general, these are the hours for The Mall in Columbia this holiday weekend:

• Thanksgiving: 6 p.m. to midnight
• Black Friday: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Saturday, Nov. 24: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Sunday, Nov. 25: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Walmart and Kohl’s will also stay open on Thanksgiving, BlackFriday.com reports.
