Man Walking Along Howard County Road Hit By Vehicle, Dies More Than A Week Later
A man walking along Ridge Road in HoCo was hit by a passing vehicle. He was in the hospital more than a week before he died, police say.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A 47-year-old man was hit by a vehicle May 31 and died at the hospital June 9.
Allen Lee Dawson was walking on the shoulder of Ridge Road when he was hit by a 2011 Honda Civic. The incident occurred May 31 shortly before 8:30 a.m. He was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with critical injuries and died more than a week later, police said.
The man driving the Honda wasn't injured and stayed at the scene. According to Howard County Police, the investigation is ongoing.
