Sex Charges Filed Against Massage Therapist In Fulton: Police

Investigators in Howard County say there may be more victims after a woman reported a sex assault at a spa in Maple Lawn.

FULTON, MD — Police said a massage therapist in Howard County has been charged after a client alleged he touched her inappropriately. The employee has been suspended from his place of employment, the Pearl Spa in Fulton, according to authorities.

Gene Andre Coxson Jr., 27, of the 10100 block of Summer Glow Walk in Laurel, has been charged with fourth-degree sex offense and second-degree assault.

A woman informed Coxson during a Sept. 25 massage at the Pearl Spa that he touched her inappropriately and told him to stop, according to police. She reported the incident to the Pearl Spa, which is located in the 8100 block of Maple Lawn Boulevard, and later informed police, who launched an investigation.

Coxson was arrested on Monday, Nov. 26, court records show. He posted $5,000 bond and was released that day. He has a trial scheduled for Jan. 31, 2019, in Howard County District Court.

Investigators are concerned that others may have been victimized by Coxson. Those who may have been assaulted by him at the Pearl Spa or elsewhere are asked to call the Howard County Police Department at 410-313-STOP or email HCPDcrimetips@howardcountymd.gov.
