Route 32 Crash Injures Two Motorcyclists: Police

The crash occurred after a driver tried to make a U-turn on MD 32, Howard County police said.

CLARKSVILLE, MD - Two motorcyclists were injured Sunday night after a car tried to make a U-turn on MD 32, according to the Howard County Police Department.

At 7:46 p.m., police said a man driving a Ford Mustang north on Route 32 pulled over onto the shoulder and tried to make a U-turn.

A Harley-Davidson with two riders that had been behind him on Route 32 collided with the door, and both motorcyclists were ejected, police said.

A helicopter was called to the scene for medical transport, the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services reported.

One motorcyclist was in stable condition and another was in critical condition, police said.

The driver of the Mustang was unharmed, officials reported, and charges were pending.

According to transportation officials, Route 32 was closed between Linden Church Road and MD 108.

Around 10 p.m., police said that Route 32 had reopened.

Authorities were investigating the crash.
