Meeting Highlights Plans For Clarksville Streetscape, MD 32 Alternate Bike Route

CLARKSVILLE, MD — The community can attend an outreach meeting Wednesday to learn more about the design updates for the Clarksville Streetscape and MD 32 Alternate Bike Route Pinch Point 6 projects.

The meeting will start at 5 p.m. in River Hill Village Center’s Claret Hall at 6020 Daybreak Circle in Clarksville.

"The Clarksville Streetscape and MD 32 Alternate Bike Route Pinch Point 6 projects ... will help connect neighborhoods, businesses and community destinations along our MD 108 corridor. As we move these projects through the design phase, we want to hear directly from the people who live, work and travel in these communities, as public input will help us ensure these improvements reflect the needs of our residents and create safer, more comfortable connections for all," said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball.

The Clarksville Pike streetscape plan and design guidelines aim to develop plans for a system of shared use pathways, sidewalks, crosswalks and bike lanes along this stretch of road in Clarksville. The MD 32 Alternate Bike Route Pinch Point 6 project will provide a bicycle route and associated infrastructure improvements along Ten Oaks Road, which was identified as a replacement bicycle route for the MD 32 corridor.

Coupled with proposed and existing streetscape projects to be built by private sector development projects, these two projects will connect and link the commercial and residential uses along the MD 108 corridor.
