Merriweather Groundbreaking Attracts Governor
The Merriweather District will break ground before the end of April.

COLUMBIA, MD — Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan will be in Columbia to witness the groundbreaking for the new Merriweather District. The project is set to break ground on Monday, April 30, on Hickory Ridge Road at Merriweather Drive.
The district will include a 12-story office building housing the headquarters for Tenable, a software company that specializes in cyber security. It will also provide high-density housing in a neighborhood where businesses will be within walking distance.
The groundbreaking will feature a look at the future of downtown Columbia through technological and interactive experiences and highlight Columbia as a spot along the nation's cyber security corridor between Baltimore and Washington, organizers say.
