Merriweather Movie Nights To Kick Off Memorial Day Weekend
There will be a free showing of 'Grease' at Merriweather Post Pavilion this weekend.

COLUMBIA, MD — Merriweather Post Pavilion will host its first in a series of Merriweather Movie Nights this weekend. The events are part of the new phase for the concert venue, which shifted ownership in the last year.
The nonprofit Downtown Columbia Arts and Culture Commission took over Merriweather from developer Howard Hughes Corporation at the end of 2016. At the time of the transfer, the commission vowed to increase community and cultural use of the property.
On Saturday, May 27, the commission will present a free screening of "Grease" in a fulfillment of its promise.
