Mystery Lottery Winner Bought $1 Million Powerball Ticket in Columbia

The owners of two $1 million Powerball tickets sold in Maryland remain at large nearly two months after the drawings, according to Maryland Lottery officials.
One of the winners purchased a ticket in Columbia.
Richburn Discount Liquors, at 6030 Foreland Garth in Columbia, sold a second-tier winning ticket for the drawing on Wednesday, Feb. 25.

The liquor store received $2,500 for selling the winning ticket, but as of Friday, April 10, the person who purchased it had not come forward, according to Carole Everett, director of communications for the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
To hit the $1 million prize, the player must match all five white ballsāonly missing the red Powerball number.

The winning numbers on Feb. 25 were 17 19 21 32 39. The Powerball number was 08, and the Power Play number was 3.
In addition to the mystery winner from Columbia, officials said thereās another million-dollar winner out there who purchased a Powerball ticket in Maryland.
That ticket was sold at Winnerās Circle Convenience in Oakland (Garrett County) on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
The winning numbers that day were 11 13 25 39 54. The Powerball number was 19 and the Power Play number was 3.
A third $1 million Powerball winner in Maryland who had been at large until this week came forward late Thursday, April 9, Everett said.
Officials said he bought his ticket at the Weis Market in Woodstock for the March 28 Powerball drawing.
The clock is ticking for winners to come forward. Prizes must be claimed within 182 days of the drawing, according to the Maryland Lottery.
