New Assistant Athletic Director Named at Howard Community College

Erin Foley, former women's basketball assistant coach Howard Community College, was promoted to assistant athletic director at the school.

COLUMBIA, MD - From Howard Community College: Former Howard Community College (HCC) women’s basketball assistant coach and athletic trainer Erin Foley was recently named assistant athletic director at the college.

Foley has served as the athletic director at Notre Dame of Maryland University since 2010 and was the interim associate vice president for student life. She was also an athletic trainer and wellness coordinator at the school. In addition, Foley was an adjunct faculty member at HCC and a certified athletic trainer through MedStar Sports Medicine.

“I am very excited to be back where I consider home,” said Foley. “I am looking forward to getting to know the student-athletes, coaches, and staff for many great years to come.”

Foley earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from Penn State University and a Master of Education in sport and recreation administration at Temple University. Her accomplishments include receiving the Distinguished Staff Award at Notre Dame and the Rubini Continuing Education Scholarship.

“Erin brings a wealth of sports administration experience, along with athletic training, coaching, and teaching skills,” said HCC Athletic Director Diane Schumacher. “I am proud to have her on board as our new assistant athletic director.”
