New Eatery Kicks Off Its Grand Opening Weekend

ROCO Kitchen + Coffee held a soft opening in early March and will hold its grand opening celebration starting Friday.

COLUMBIA, MD — In early March, a new eatery serving up coffee, donuts, breakfast, lunch and a side of kindness quietly opened in Columbia.

Starting Friday, ROCO Kitchen + Coffee officially kicks off its grand opening weekend.

Open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., the first 100 orders on Friday and Saturday will receive a free donut with their purchase as part of their grand opening celebration.

From breakfast burritos to burgers, tacos to tasty sweets, ROCO Kitchen + Coffee has an app that allows customers to easily place their order ahead of time, then swing by to pick it up in store once its ready.

"ROCO Kitchen + Coffee is built on scratch cooking, quality ingredients and genuine hospitality," the owners state on their website.

Owners Samantha Rocco-Canfield and Brad Canfield, a husband and wife team, wanted to open a coffee shop with plated meals that had a cozy, comforting atmosphere. Located at 6430 Freetown Road in Columbia, the owners intend to expand their hours down the road.

​The 2,400-square-foot restaurant found in the Hickory Ridge Village Center seats an estimated 70 people inside and outside, and includes a drive-thru service.
