The officer was not injured, while the suspect was in critical condition, Howard County police reported.

CLARKSVILLE, MD — A call about a suspicious vehicle Friday morning in Howard County ended with an officer-involved shooting that injured a wanted Prince George's County man, according to police.

Tremayne Middleton Dorsey, 38, of Temple Hills, was in critical condition at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center after police said he drove his vehicle at an officer, who shot him once.

Officials are still working to determine why the Prince George's County man was in the Clarksville neighborhood, where they responded in the middle of the night because of the location he parked his car.
