One Killed in I-95 Crash Near MD 175: Report

A three-car crash reportedly claimed the life of one person and led to DUI charges for two others over the weekend.

JESSUP, MD — One person died, two were at shock trauma and two drivers were charged with DUI after a crash on the shoulder of Interstate 95 in Jessup over the weekend that involved three vehicles, WTOP reported. The collision happened before 4 a.m. on Sunday, temporarily shutting down I-95 to northbound traffic in the area of MD 175, the State Highway Administration said.

Early Sunday, one vehicle pulled over so two people inside could get out to look for a phone charger when another car hit them and the vehicle, turning it on its side and throwing the driver out, who was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to WTOP. After a third vehicle hit the driver who had been ejected, the news station reported that the drivers of the two vehicles involved in the crash were charged with DUI.
