Part Of Lake Elkhorn Path To Close For Widening
A construction project at Lake Elkhorn starts in mid August.

COLUMBIA, MD — A pathway closure in Columbia is slated to begin Monday, Aug. 13. Howard County government officials said the closure will allow crews to widen part of the path around Lake Elkhorn so that it is in accordance with Columbia Association specifications.
The pathway from the Owen Brown bridge to the Farbell Row access path will be closed for work from Aug. 13 to mid September, county officials said.
Howard County Recreation and Parks is handling the project, which county officials say will improve the stretch of path by milling the existing asphalt and covering it with new asphalt.
