Pedestrian Injured In Route 175 Crash: Police
Police said a 47-year-old man was hit by a car as he was trying to cross MD 175 near Dobbin Road.

COLUMBIA, MD — Police said a pedestrian was injured crossing MD 175 Wednesday night in Columbia. Although he did not have identification on him, authorities have since determined his identity.
Anthony Lamont Washington, 47, of no fixed address, remains in critical condition, police reported Thursday afternoon.
According to officials, Washington was hit by a car that was going west on Route 175 after 11 p.m. on Wednesday. At the time of the crash, police said he had been trying to cross Route 175 east of Dobbin Road.

Washington was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in critical condition, police said.
The driver of the 2006 Subaru Impreza remained at the scene. Police said she was not injured, and no charges have been filed.
