Playground Fire Draws Investigator to Columbia

COLUMBIA, MD – A playground fire drew first responders to Kings Contrivance Sunday afternoon, the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services reported.

At approximately 3:45 p.m., officials said crews were at the scene of the blaze in the 7500 block of Weather Worn Way.

A fire investigator was also on-site, and authorities asked anyone with information to come to the fire ground as soon as possible.

This is the second fire in Columbia that Howard County crews have been called to on Sunday; in the morning, firefighters handled a townhouse blaze in Oakland Mills, officials said.
