Police ID Man Killed In Columbia Shooting
A Columbia man was fatally shot near the Harper's Choice Village Center on Thursday, March 28, Howard County police said.

COLUMBIA, MD — Police have identified the victim in Thursday's Columbia village center shooting. The investigation into the homicide is ongoing, officials said Friday.
Ronald Carolina Jr., 27, of Columbia, was shot near the Harper's Choice Village Center before 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, police reported.
After authorities were dispatched to the 5400 block of Old Tucker Row for a report of someone who had been shot at 5:21 p.m., they said they found Carolina outside Kahler Hall. He was taken to Howard County General Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Based on the initial investigation, officials said two men approached the victim. After witnesses reported hearing two to three shots go off, they said the suspects both left.
The investigation into the deadly shooting is continuing Friday morning, police said. Anyone with information should call 911.
