Howard County Police Identify Motorcyclist Killed In Head-On Crash With Pickup
The motorcyclist killed when he collided head-on with a pickup early Sunday morning has been identified by Howard County Police.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The motorcyclist killed early Sunday morning when he hit a 2019 Chevy Silverado head-on has been identified as 63-year-old Charles Franklin Bailey Jr. of Silver Spring.
Around 1:44 a.m. June 4, the unidentified driver of a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle was heading southbound on Route 97 near Roxbury Mill Road when he crossed over into oncoming traffic. He was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he died, according to Howard County Police.
Investigators believe the man driving the motorcycle was attempting to pass another vehicle in front of it. The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
