Police Investigate Attempted Robbery in Oakland Mills
A young man and boy tried to rob someone near the Serenity Center in Columbia, police reported.

Two people tried to rob a bicyclist in Columbia Monday afternoon, according to the Howard County Police Department.
At 1:57 p.m. on Monday, July 6, the victim was on his bike when the suspects approached him in the 9600 block of Basket Ring Road, police reported.
The pair tried to take the bike but could not, according to police, who said nothing was taken and nobody was seriously injured.

The suspects were described as a boy approximately 10 years old and an approximately 20-year-old man with a goatee who was 6’2”, 225 pounds, wearing a white hoodie and black jeans.
