Police Offer $500 Reward for Info on Columbia Vehicle Vandalism
Howard County Police Department reports at least 100 parked cars have been spray-painted, vandalized since Dec. 15.

More than 100 vehicles have been vandalized in Columbia in the past two weeks, according to the Howard County Police Department, which said Wednesday that it is offering a reward for information.
The vandalism has occurred overnight and involved the spray-painting of parked vehicles, officials said.

Most recently, vehicles were vandalized Wednesday morning in the 8300 block of Tamar Drive and 5500 block of Waterloo Road, police said.

- 8300 block of Tamar Drive—Wednesday, Dec. 31
- 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road—Saturday, Dec. 27
- 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road—Sunday, Dec. 21
- 9600 block of Whiteacre Road—Saturday, Dec. 20
- 5800 block of Thunder Hill Road—Saturday, Dec. 20
- 7500 block of Monarch Mills Way—Monday, Dec. 15
Authorities said they are investigating whether the instances of vandalism are connected.
They do not think the crimes are gang-related or reflective of hate-bias, according to police.
There is a reward of up to $500 for information leading to an arrest, according to the Howard County Police Department. Callers may remain anonymous; contact 410-313-STOP to provide information.
