Howard County Police are searching for the armed suspect in a string of 7-Eleven robberies that unfolded within a 24-hour period recently.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Police are investigating a string of armed robberies at 7-Eleven stores across Howard County that happened within a 24-hour period. Two of the robberies were carried out in the middle of the day.

Howard County Police don't have a suspect yet. David Keppley told WBAL he was alarmed when he saw five cop cars parked at the 7-Eleven in Elkridge around 1 a.m. on a Sunday.

"It's always a safe area. I live here in Ellicott City, so I always feel safe. So, it kind of disturbs me knowing that," Jerome Sherman told WBAL.

"It's definitely scary, especially because I come here with friends, or I come here and get gas by myself at night," Ally Hagyard added.

Police say that the suspect description and circumstances are similar among the robberies reported. They involve a man with his face partially covered who uses a handgun. He did steal cash from the register before taking off.
