Railroad Crossing Repairs Start Nov. 28 At Howard-Carroll County Line

A detour will be in place directing traffic while the railroad crossing is closed for maintenance work starting Nov. 28.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — CSX Transportation will begin maintenance on the railroad crossing at Marriottsville Road at the Howard/Carroll County line in Marriottsville starting around 9 a.m. Nov. 28.

While the crossing is closed, traffic will detour via Marriottsville Road, Granite Road, MD 125, Woodstock Road and MD 99. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. Dec. 2.

Variable message boards and signs will be posted to alert the public of the project and corresponding road closure. Additionally, a recorded message at 410-313-4400 will carry details and updates.
