Rams Head Tavern Owner Charged in Bathroom Peeping: Police
Camera, DNA linked Kyle Muehlhauser to bathroom incident, Howard County police say.

The owner of the Rams Head Tavern in Savage is accused of recording women in the restaurant’s bathroom, the Howard County Police Department reported Monday.
Kyle Muehlhauser, 37, of Severna Park, was charged Feb. 19 with six counts of visual surveillance with prurient (sexual) intent that occurred on May 9, 2014, according to online court records.
The investigation began last spring after a video camera fell on the floor next to a woman in the bathroom at Rams Head Tavern in Savage Mill, which Muehlhauser owns, police said.

Surveillance video from the restaurant on Foundry Street showed a man mounting the camera in the bathroom who matched the description and clothing of the suspect from the camera’s memory card, according to the report from police.
Authorities identified the suspect as Muehlhauser and obtained lab results with DNA that matched his, according to the report.

He turned himself in to police on Thursday, Feb. 19, and was released from the Howard County Detention Center on $35,000 bond on Friday, Feb. 20, police reported.
Investigators are notifying police in areas with additional Rams Head locations of Muehlhauser’s arrest; there are Rams Head venues in Hanover/Maryland Live!, Baltimore/Power Plant and Annapolis.
Muehlhauser’s next appearance is scheduled for April 9 in Howard County District Court.
