Rash of Columbia Car Break-Ins Leads to Increased Patrols: Police
There were multiple vehicle break-ins reported at the Park & Ride off Broken Land Parkway near MD 32.

COLUMBIA, MD ā After a slew of vehicle break-ins, police will be conducting area checks at Park & Rides across Howard County.
Eight vehicles were broken into at the Park & Ride on Broken Land Parkway on Wednesday, Nov. 9, according to the Howard County Police Department.
The break-ins happened during the day ā between 6:30 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. ā at the lot near MD 32, police reported.

In January, there were a handful of vehicles vandalized at the same Park & Ride in Columbia.
In response to the recent break-ins, Howard County police said officers will be conducting area checks of Park & Ride locations countywide.
