Receive COVID-19 Vaccine, Free Health Assessment May 15

Howard County General Hospital will host free health assessments and give the COVID-19 shot at St. John Baptist Church in Columbia May 15.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Receive a free health assessment and the COVID-19 vaccine at the same time May 15 at St. John Baptist Church in Columbia. Administered by Howard County General Hospital, walk-ins for the vaccine will be accepted from noon to 3:30 p.m. while health assessments will be done from noon to 4 p.m. The drive-thru format will take place in the church parking lot.

Howard County General Hospital will offer the Moderna vaccine. People receiving the vaccine must present a photo ID to complete a vaccination record and be available to receive a second dose at the same location June 12.

The drive-thru health screenings will assess body mass index, stroke, blood pressure, prediabetes, blood glucose and HDL cholesterol as well as present healthy lifestyle education and information on classes offered to address health risks. Participants must be 18 years or older.
