Reward Offered In Overnight Shooting In Columbia: Police
The Howard County Police Department says a fight broke out among multiple people in the overnight and a man suffered multiple gunshot wounds
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Howard County police are offering a reward up to $5,000 for information about a fatal shooting that occurred overnight in Columbia. Police were called to the intersection of Governor Warfield Parkway and Twin Rivers Road at approximately 12:15 a.m. Friday for a report of a fight among multiple people during which time shots fired.
Responding officers located Anthony Tayvon McNeil, 24, from Baltimore in a parking lot in the 10200 block of Nightmist Court, adjacent to the initial scene of the crime. McNeil suffered several gunshot wounds and was taken to Howard County General Hospital where he died. Detectives are investigating a possible motive in the incident and ask that anyone who may have seen or heard something in the area or may have any other information about the incident call 410-313-STOP or email HCPDcrimetips@howardcountymd.gov.
Detectives are also asking residents in the area with doorbell cameras to check their videos between 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. for any activity that may be related to this case. Callers may be eligible for a reward up to $5,000.
