River Hill Parade Kicks Off 4th Of July

The 18th annual River Hill Independence Day Parade featured lawnchair marching dads, politicians and others.

COLUMBIA, MD - River Hill was abuzz with onlookers for the 18th annual Independence Day Parade Tuesday morning.

Floats, lawnchair marching dads and others rolled down Great Star Drive starting at 9 a.m. to kick off the Fourth of July festivities.

Political candidates were among those in the lineup and so were those not involved; one group marched with a sign that said: "Minh Nguyen, Not Running for Anything, Just Wanted a Banner."
