Roads, Parks Remain Closed In HoCo Due To Storm Damage: Official

As of Wednesday afternoon, four roads and three parks remained closed in Howard County after a storm rolled through the state Tuesday.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — As of 1 p.m. Wednesday, the following roads remain closed in Howard County for trees on wires:

  • Newport Road between Woodbine Road and the Carroll County line
  • Pfefferkorn Road between Fox Valley Road and Old Rover Road
  • Gaither Road between Forsythe Road and Sideling Court
  • Mission Road between Pleasant Chase and U.S. 1

As of Wednesday morning, Howard County Recreation and Parks' reported the following parks and pathways as closed due to debris and standing water/high water levels:

  • Woodland Road pathway;
  • Font Hill Wetlands Park; and
  • Meadowbrook Parks.

Cypressmede Park is open; however, there is a tree down on the pathway that crews are working to remove.
