Longtime Howard County Dinner Theater Presents 'Rocky: The Musical'

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — As Toby Orenstein's 85th birthday approaches, family and friends who know her aren't surprised by the fact this 40-year owner of Toby's Dinner Theater currently is directing the live production of "Rocky: The Musical."

“She works so incredibly hard, she has so many years in the business that she’s just a fountain of knowledge,” actor Gerald Jordan who plays Apollo Creed in the new production, told ABC7. "She really knows what she’s talking about, for her it’s very important to make sure that the story is grounded."

Toby’s is the first theater in the U.S. to put on this show after Broadway.

“I’m very fortunate in that, not everyone can do in life what they love to do, I’m gonna start to cry. This was my dream, to have a theatre," Orenstein said.
