Route 108 Closed for Utility Issue

A portion of a MD Route 108 is closed Monday afternoon due to utility work.

The road is shut down in the area of Montgomery Run Road, according to state transportation officials.

The intersection was closed at 12:42 p.m. due to a utility problem and remained impassable at 3:45 p.m., authorities reported.

Utility wires had come down in the road, according to WNEW.

Both northbound and southbound travel lanes on Route 108 were closed.
