Route 175 Gets a Facelift in Columbia

There's a $2 million project underway to spiff up a section of MD 175.

While many are sleeping over the next couple of months, MD Route 175 will be getting a makeover.

A 1-mile section of the road will be resurfaced overnight in a $2 million project that starts this week in Columbia, according to the State Highway Administration.

Crews will remove the top layer of asphalt, then resurface and re-stripe Route 175, installing new signage and guardrails between Interstate 95 and Columbia Gateway Drive.
