Possible Tree Toppling Prompts Weather Alert For Marylanders
Have you seen any trees down? The National Weather Service is warning Marylanders to be on the lookout.

BALTIMORE, MD — The National Weather Service is warning people to be on the lookout for toppling trees. Weather officials issued a special weather statement urging the public to consider staying away from wooded areas through Wednesday.
"The recent heavy rainfall of the last several days has left the ground extremely saturated. This is causing many trees to topple even with little or no wind," according to the special weather statement.
"If you live in or drive through wooded areas, remain especially alert for the potential of downed trees," weather officials said. "Consider altering your route or staying in the interior of the lowest level of your home or office to avoid weakened trees that may fall tonight and tomorrow."

"We have been seeing severe weather across the state over the past few days, including flash flooding and strong storms, with the potential of more to come,” Hogan said in a statement. “Please take extreme care if you must travel, be sure to follow all local weather warnings.”
