Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued, Tornado Watch Active In Howard Co.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Howard County, which also is under a tornado watch.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 10 p.m. Tuesday night, which replaces the severe thunderstorm watch.
The tornado watch includes Howard County.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued by the NWS for Howard County at 4:36 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. A line of severe thunderstorms stretching from Littlestown to Harry Grove Stadium to near Purcellville are moving east with 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-sized hail.

Also in the tornado watch is Washington, D.C., and Baltimore City, as well as Anne Arundel, Montgomery, Prince George's, Carroll, Cecil, Caroline, Baltimore, Kent, Queen Anne's, Talbor, Harford, Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's, Worcester, Somerset, Wicomico and Dorchester counties.
