Shake Shack Opens In Columbia

COLUMBIA, MD — The newest addition to The Mall in Columbia opened on Wednesday, Dec. 20. Shake Shack began welcoming customers hungry for its burgers, fries, shakes and frozen custards at 11 a.m.

Shake Shack is located near the open-air wing of the mall, by the AMC Theatres and P.F. Chang's. It has taken over the space where Champps restaurant used to be.

In addition to shakes and burgers, the restaurant offers chicken, hot dogs, floats, beer and wine and dog biscuits.

Hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday; and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Christmas Eve hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Shake Shack will be closed on Christmas Day. New Year's Eve hours will be 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

The first 100 people in line on opening day will receive a "Pie Oh My" dessert, which is frozen vanilla custard blended with seasonal pie.

The Columbia location is the fourth for Shake Shack in Maryland. It also has restaurants at Baltimore Inner Harbor, M&T Bank Stadium and Oxon Hill's MGM National Harbor.
