Is She Competent to Stand Trial? Blogger's Daughter Under Evaluation
The trial for Morgan Lane Arnold was postponed until 2015.

A judge has postponed the trial of 16-year-old Morgan Lane Arnold, charged in the stabbing death of her father, until next year, according to the Howard County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Her trial was initially scheduled for Aug. 18.
Judge Timothy J. McCrone allowed for a postponement of the trial until Feb. 17, 2015, and granted a request for her to be evaluated to determine her competency to stand trial, the state’s attorney’s office reported.

That evaluation has been taking place this week and will be followed by a competency hearing scheduled for next Tuesday, August 19.
This week, after Judge William Turner ruled that she would be tried as an adult, he denied her attorney’s request for her to be considered not criminally responsible.
