Shooting in Columbia Sends Man to Hospital: Police

BREAKING: Howard County police said shooting victim was hospitalized, while authorities have not detained any suspect(s).

COLUMBIA, MD — Police said a man was shot and injured in Columbia Wednesday night. The victim was hospitalized, according to officials.

At 9:40 p.m., authorities said they were called to the 6000 block of Majors Lane, where they found the victim with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital.

While police said there were not any suspects in custody Wednesday evening, detectives reportedly planned to investigate overnight and would provide an update Thursday.
