Stevens Forest Among Top 10 Contenders In $10K Contest
Three schools in Howard County are in the running; people can vote once a day in the WTOP Click for Kids contest.

COLUMBIA, MD — Stevens Forest Elementary School is among the schools vying for cash prizes from WTOP in its annual Click for Kids contest. The school on Stevens Forest Road is in the top 10 as of Tuesday morning, with three days to go in the competition. Online voting will determine the winner.
To be part of the contest, schools had to be located in certain parts of the WTOP listening area, including Howard County, and be nominated by a principal or vice principal. Next, online voting will determine the winner; voting is open until 5 p.m. on March 16.
People can vote online once a day until the conclusion of the contest. The winner will receive $10,000. There are also two runner-up prizes of $7,500 and $5,000.

Other schools in Howard County that are in the running for the prize are Dunloggin Middle School and Oakland Mills High School. However, only Stevens Forest is in the top 20 as of the morning of Tuesday, March 13; Stevens Forest Elementary is currently in 10th place.
People can vote online until 5 p.m. on Friday, March 16.
