Student Charged With Rape In Reservoir High Sex Assault: Police

FULTON, MD — A 16-year-old student has been charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old student at Reservoir High School. The teenager told Howard County police that she had agreed to meet the boy in a bathroom during school hours Nov. 11, but she did not consent to engaging in sexual activity. She reported to police that he forcibly sexually assaulted her, despite her protests.

The teen reported the incident to a school counselor, and the police were notified. The suspect has been charged with second-degree rape, second-degree assault and fourth-degree sex offense. His identity will not be released at this time, police said. He was taken into custody at his home Nov. 13 and is not expected to return to the school for the duration of the investigation, in accordance with Howard County Public School System policy.
