Suspect In Columbia Bank Robbery Attempt Wanted: Howard County Police

Does this man look familiar? Howard County police allege he tried to rob a bank on Cradlerock Way.

COLUMBIA, MD — The Howard County Police Department has released surveillance photos from a recent attempted bank robbery at the PNC in Columbia in hopes of identifying the suspect. There is a reward of up to $1,500 for information.

According to police, a man with his face partly covered entered PNC in the 7200 block of Cradlerock Way at 11:47 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28; he went up to a teller, acted like he had a weapon and demanded money.

Before any further action, police said the suspect left the bank. Nothing was stolen, and nobody was injured.

Preliminarily, authorities said it does not seem that the suspect is linked to any other cases.

Detectives are offering a reward of up to $1,500 for information about the suspect. He is described as a black man who is 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and between 30 and 40 years old.
